OSRS Best Money Making Guide: What are the Monsters to Kill

Old School RuneScape (F2P/P2P): What Monsters are you willing to kill for Money at Every Level

.

Welcome to my PVM for cash guide! One of the most common questions asked during play in Old School RuneScape at every level is "How can I make the most money at my current level?" This guide is designed so that anyone playing OSRS, no matter what stage, or how much money you've got to start with will be able to read this guide and find the game that suits them best for earning money from!

Monsters to be covered in this Guide

The guide will be written in an easy format: I will introduce the monster, list the necessities, provide the recommended gear and price (plus alternative options that are less expensive) and then provide a brief overview of the strategy to get fast, efficient killings!

Green Dragons

The Giant Mole

The Barrows Brothers

Demonic Gorillas

Vorkath

Zulrah

Green Dragons

Skills required:

80+ Melee statistics or

60+ The range is 60+.

Items Required:

Excellent Melee and Ranged gear (Rune to better)

Anti-dragon shield/potion

Looting Bag

Food

Green dragons can often be found in the low wilderness, just north west of Edgeville or in the Graveyard of Shadows. Dragonhide is green and dragon bones upon killing, making each dragon worth around 4,000 coins.

Although the Wilderness isn't a safe place with regard to PKers it also has the advantage of allowing you to use an Looting Bag to carry an additional 28 things, making an entire inventory and looting bag that is worth more than 200K!

An entire inventory and looting pack should just take 20-25 minutes at average stats/gear giving around 500K in profit per hour It's a great opportunity to earn some cash to gear up to take on bosses of higher levels!

Make sure you have the Amulet of Glory, which lets you teleport to Edgeville (where you can save) from the level 30 wilderness This is very helpful in escaping PKers.

The Giant Mole

Skills Required:

70+ Melee Stats

43+ Prayer

Items to be included:

Spade

Dharok's Set (will dramatically speed up kills, other melee gear works fine too.)

Dwarven Rock Cake (to lower hitpoints and make use of Dharok's power effectively)

Light Source

The Giant Mole is a large mole found under Falador Park, reached by using a spade on the huge mound within the park.

The Mole drop a mole claw and 2 mole skins for each kill. This is approximately 13.000 per kill. Using a Dharok's set you can get up to 50 kills in an hour! This is approximately 700k per hour profit when including the other drop values too.

Utilizing Falador Shield 3 or above is recommended. Falador Shield 3 or more is also recommended since it can be used to rapidly locate the Giant Mole, giving more rapid kills. It also offers mole claws and skin drops that are noted and allows you to stay nearly indefinitely inside the cave killing the giant mole.

The main idea is to reduce your hitpoints to 1HP with a Dwarven Rock Cake. Then, you can protect from melee , thereby reducing harm from the mole and allowing players to quickly eliminate the mole.

For Ironmen This is a very efficient strategy to gain birds nests, because the skin and claws are exchanged with Wyson the gardener in exchange for nests of birds.

The Barrows Brothers

Skills required:

43 Prayer highly recommended

70+ Melee statistics

Mage 50+ (75 suggested for Trident)

50+ Band (75 required for Blowpipe)

Items required:

Strong Combat gear (high defensive armour, with high DPS weapons for each style)

Barrows teleports (or another way to get there)

Ring of Dueling (for banking and charging stats on the Clan Wars Portal)

Super Restores

Food

Runes for spells , if you are using

It is also recommended to have the hard Morytania tasks complete for 50% more runes.

This Barrows Brothers minigame is a extremely reliable method of earning money on OSRS. It is one of the most popular methods and can be performed efficiently in all levels!

With mid-level gear, it's possible to earn approximately 12-15 chests per hour, each worth about 75k (or 93k with the complete diary). This is a profitable money-maker, netting around 1M GP/Hour.

The bulk of your profits come from the runes you collect from the chest, however the exclusive weapons and armour pieces have a drop rate of 1/1 if you kill the brothers every run! Certain pieces can fetch up to 2 million dollars, with an average of around 500k per piece. This is an excellent bonus when doing the Barrows runs and makes for an enjoyable way to earn money!

Demonic Gorillas

Skills required:

75+ Attack

80+ Strength

75+ Defense

75+ 75+

43 Prayer

Items to be included:

Slayer Helm (if on black demon slayer task)

High-defence ranged body

High-Defense melee legs

Arclight

Blowpipe

Best-in-slot-to-slot-gear for the remaining armour slots

Demonic Gorillas are high leveled monsters that are not available after they complete the Monkey Madness II quest. This is the only monster in the game that can drop the Zenyte Shard, used to make Zenyte jewellery, worth around 15 million as of the time of this article!

You should always carry an option to switch between melee and ranged in the same way that Demonic Gorillas change between different attack styles. They can also use protection prayers.

A. The Arclight is the most effective melee weapon to use and you must bring your highest DPS equipment to use both melee and ranged Therefore, your choice of switches should be the ones which give you the highest DPS boost, like Necklace of Anguish, Amulet of Torture, and so on.

It is also possible to use Void with a helmet switch if you're not on the right track to gain DPS however, this requires a considerable grind Pest Control.

Vorkath

Skills Needed:

80+ The range

75+ Defense

70+ Prayer

Items Required:

Dragon Hunter Crossbow is best

The Blowpipe will work fine because DHC is in the vicinity of 120M.

Salve Amulet (ei)

Void Ranged armor

Bandos Godsword recommended to reduce Vorkath's defense (or Dragon Warhammer If it is an affordable)

Runes are used to Crumble Undead

Vorkath is one of the best solo bosses in OSRS to make consistent profit. However, it's locked behind some pretty high requirements in order to be able to play the Dragon Slayer II quest to beat Vorkath again for money.

The best method for Vorkath is to make use of your best Ranged gear to defend yourself from the magic. Start each kill by lowering Vorkath's defence with BGS or a DWH in the event that you have them, then switch into your Ranged gear and begin fighting.

Vorkath offers a variety of standard attacks and 2 special attacks which cycle on a pattern of 6 standard and one special attack - 6 standard - 1 special - ...

Be aware that special attacks vary each time and are described below:

Poison Pool Quickfire Barrage

In this case, Vorkath may lean to the side to throw green acid pools into the air. They will then land on the ground shortly afterwards, you should turn off your run energy and walk back and forth on a clean surface to avoid injury.

It is important to keep moving or you can be hit for up to 40 points per minute

If you fall into an acidic water pool, you'll suffer 6-7 injuries and recover Vorkath for the same amount, so try to avoid these , but it's not anything to worry about if you don't

Zombified Ice Dragonfire

For this attack Vorkath invokes a zombie creature and freeze you. You must kill the spawn before it reaches you or you could be hit with up to 60 damages.

It is a guaranteed 1 hit kill when you use Crumble Undead

The other standard attacks are all fairly simple but there are two you should be aware of while using range and defending from mage:

Purple flames disable your prayer

If Vorkath fires a slow moving orange fireball in the air you should move 2 squares away , or you will be killed in one hit

Efficiency

In order to make sure you get effective kills and make as much money per hour you are able to, you need to follow the following tips:

If you're using the blowpipe along with a BGS in the event that you fail to deal 64 damage using the BGS you should teleport and do the same kill

If you have the construction level to build an Ornate Rejuvenation Pool in your house then you must teleport there and then teleport into on the Lunar Isle using a portal within your POH or bank account on the eastern banker, then make use of a different banker to be removed from this island (putting you right beside the boat to Vorkath)

Zulrah

Skills Required:

70+ Defense

80+ In the Range

80+ Mage

80+ Hitpoints

45+ Prayer

Items required:

Very good Mage and ranged gear

Blowpipe and Trident are highly recommended

Food (plus combo food - Karambwan)

Anti-venom

Potentiom for Ranging

Prayer potion

Rings of Recoil (unless they are using Ring of Suffering)

Zulrah is a high leveled boss that demands the highest levels of combat and good gear to kill effectively.

Each kill is worth around 160-170k . This is a profit of around 4M per hour when executed efficiently.

An excellent way to begin Zulrah is to start using the range/mage switches in voids, using a Blowpipe as well as a Trident and use as few switches as possible. Once you are comfortable with the rotations , you should start with better gear and more switches until you are in a 7/8-way switch, giving around 2 minutes of kills Zulrah.

The basic strategy is as follows, but there's a higher resolution image below that outlines particular rotations:

When Zulrah turns green, the game is attacking with the ranged weapon, and you need to Protect from Missiles

If Zulrah turns turquoise, the color is attacked with Ranged and Magic, and you should protect yourself from Magic

When Zulrah is red, it will attack with melee towards the player's most recent spot, you should be able to move a few squares away each 2 attacks. There is no protection prayer

Zulrah also has a Jad Phase where it is constantly switching between Ranged as well as Magic attack. If it's spawned on the east side you must protect yourself from Mage first, and if it appears from the west you should be able to defend against Ranged first. Then you should switch prayers whenever she bows her head on each attack.

Zulrah is a fairly easy boss to conquer after you've got the hang of it, even though it isn't easy and takes some time. You should check some YouTube videos to get a more thorough guide.

Rally in Raids in Chambers of Xeric (Team and Solo)

The Chambers of Xeric is a very high leveled area known as raids. The requirements here are basically very high combat stats and very high leveled equipment however if you're in larger groups, the gear requirements will be lower and a complete void is typical loadouts, featuring the most effective weapons in slot, rings and boots as well as amulets for all combat styles.

Finding a team can be challenging, which is why it is recommended joining a group, or gather a group of friends.

Solo Raids

Another option for those proficient in PVM can be solo raids.

Pioneered by Woox the solo raid is an opportunity for all players particularly ironmen, to conquer their Chambers of Xeric all by themselves. It's a very difficult task that requires a lot of stats and gear and a great amount of concentration and skill but the rewards are very high, as any special drops aren't divided.

Woox has a video that describes greatly the process of solo raids. This includes every room along with every boss and techniques and tips for increasing efficiency.

Making two raids solo per hour with max equipment and stats will earn an average of 7M GP for every hour. Keep in mind that 90% of that comes from unique drops, so you can endure very long periods of periods of dryness before you've got the most valuable, unique drop.

The final piece of advice: Try Slayer

Thank you for reading this guide so far. I hope you have discovered a method that works for you. If none of them appeals to you, I'd highly recommend doing slayer; it is an extremely varied skill and can be difficult to get bored of. Moreover, the majority of Slayer monsters have a wide range of valuable drops.

Getting 99 Slayer will give the best combat stats available with enough money and experience to get you stuck to high-leveled PvM!
